Finishing ChipBreaker Design
- This tool incorporates the compression spiral Up/Dpown design with chipbreakers ground in the cutting edge of the downcut section of the flutes. The chipbreakers are staggered to produce a clean finish while aiding in chip removal. Recommended for hardwoods and plywoods where edge finish quality is critical. Better chip evacuation from the cut prevents chip recutting that causes a rough or fuzzy finish.

This thing leaves an amazing finish in its wake even on soft pine. I've overdriven the stepdown pretty hard when side cutting and it pulled the bit in deeper from the collet rather than chipping, breaking or anything adverse to the bit itself. (yes it was an accident, but I was impressed the bit handled it like a champ.) I would absolutely recommend this product.
I have tried many compression bits. This is now my go to on cutting out profiles. What I really like is how smooth of a surface it leaves behind!
